My Responsibilities: like
I. Day to day plant Operation, maintenance & trouble shooting.
II. Safety, WCM and Man Management Activities.
III. To participate in the cost saving & profit improving activities such as Total Productive Maintenance, to work on specific assignments in group, etc…
IV. To work on project expansion related commissioning activities.
V. Any other work assigned by Superiors.
VI. Preparing of all documents as per World Class Manufacturing Practices.
a) Prioritizing jobs done in the General shift and allotting work to Fitters.
b) Making daily visits to the monitoring section for observing running performance of machinery and other equipment and taking corrective action as and when required.
c) Meeting personnel of user departments to discuss and prepare appropriate action plans for problems of a repetitive nature.
d) Conducting inspection of engineering stores inward material.
e) Making the indents.
f) Following up of work allotted in the general shift to assess progress and facilitating and providing assistance to technicians in completing the work as per plan.
g) Monitoring the strict adherence to ISO 14000 activities like following scrap disposal procedures, reporting spillage/ leakage etc in quality records etc.
h) Making returnable and non-returnable gate passes and scrap disposal notes as per job requirements.
i) Continuously trying for cost reduction by finding substitutes for existing equipment and spares
j) Identifying / Intimating and obtaining safety permits for certain activities like welding, gas cutting, drilling, working at heights etc.
k) Checking and monitoring the progress of scheduled preventive maintenance activities.

Monthly Activities:
a) Ensuring the release of the Monthly Review Report on or before the 7th of every month.
b)Ensuring the completion of planned / shutdown activities in coordination with the various user departments.
c) Reviewing monthly performance with department manager / Manager.
d) Planning and implementation of jobs that have to be done on weekly off days and on holidays.

Yearly Activities:
a) Ensuring timely completion of planned annual overhauls for specified production equipment / utilities.
b) Preparing engineering Budget estimates for Normal & Major expenditure
c) Developing new vendors and suppliers.

1. I have reached the ceiling in my particular job, and I am ready for more responsibility.

3. In all honesty I wasn't really looking to move jobs, but this looks like such a great opportunity to use all my skills and experience and I have always admired this company.

7) What do you like most about your current or last job?
I enjoyed having to use my initiative. I have implemented and improved a number of the systems.

8) What do you like least about your current or last job?
There was a lack of growth opportunities in such as small company. One of the reasons I am so interested in your company is that it is a much larger organization with formal career planning structures in place.

9) How do you handle conflict?
For example: "Everyone has to deal with conflict at some point. I have found that when there is conflict it helps to try and put yourself in the other person's shoes and understand their perspective. If you know what their interpretation of the situation is, then it is easier to work out a solution. For example.. ( give a specific example of a conflict situation and how you dealt with it)."

10) What has been the most difficult situation you have had to face?
For example: I have faced a number of difficult situations, but the one that comes to mind now is .. ( describe the situation). I was able to deal with it by assessing the situation, determining the possible different approaches and deciding on the most effective one. I had to remain unemotional and objective and focused on a solution.

11) Why did you leave your job?

I am interested in a new challenge and an opportunity to use my technical skills and experience in a different capacity than I have in the past.

This position seemed like an excellent match for my skills and experience and I am not able to fully utilize them in my present job.

I react to situations, rather than to stress. That way, the situation is handled and doesn't become stressful.
I actually work better under pressure and I've found that I enjoy working in a challenging environment.

I've always been motivated by the desire to do a good job at whatever position I'm in. I want to excel and to be successful in my job, both for my own personal satisfaction and for my employer.

I am equally comfortable working as a member of a team and independently.

I can be flexible when it comes to my work environment.
