Centrifugal pump operation

Standard Operating Procedure of Centrifugal Pumps:-

- Check the fluid level.

- Check the lubrication level in pumps.

- Suction valve should be in open position.

- If fluid level is below center line of pump(and pump is not self priming pump) then do 

  priming procedure for priming of pump.

- Discharge valve should be in closed position.

- Start up the pump.
